ANNOUNCEMENTS

October 2015 Peter Whisker (WmB) reports that his mother Sheila Whisker (née Barcham) passed away peacefully at St Vincent’s hospital, Dublin, on 26 October 2015. Sheila, who celebrated her 90th birthday in July, was the younger daughter of William Henry Barcham and Evelyn Connolly.

February 2018 Ken Barcham (BnB) informed us that his grandson Ryan Barcham married Emily Frances Stones at St. Stephens Presbyterian Church Bathurst, on 18 November 2017 (see photo).Emily was born in Gunnedah NSW and raised on the family sheep and cattle farm at Gunnedah. Ryan and Emily met at Charles Sturt University Bathurst. They are both employed in Bathurst, Ryan as a maths teacher at The Scots School and Emily as a teacher at the Elizabeth Chifley Preschool.

March 2018 Ross Barcham (WmB) reports that his parents passed away recently at Tihahi Bay New Zealand. Robert Kenneth Barcham (Bob), grandson of Robert William Barcham, died on 24 February 2018 and his wife Jean (née Thompson) Barcham on 23 December 2017 both aged 89.

October 2018 Luke Barcham (WmB) informed us that his grandfather Leo William Barcham passed away on 4 October 2018 in Brisbane, Queensland, after a short illness. Leo, a descendant of Richard Edwards Barcham, was 96 years old.

October 2018 Judith Constantine (WmB) reports that her aunt Florence Barcham Boulton (Cissie) celebrated her 100th birthday. A party was held for her at the care home in Hailsham, East Sussex, where she is now living. Other than mobility problems Cissie is in good mental and physical health.

January 2020 Ken Barcham (BnB) announced the birth of his first great-grandchild. Ezra John Barcham, first child for Ryan and Emily Barcham (see above), born at Bathurst NSW on 26 January 2020.

April 2020 Judith Constantine (WmB) reports that her second cousin Frank Barcham, younger son of Richard Norman Barcham, passed away on 1 April 2020 aged 92. He was buried in Worton churchyard, Wiltshire, with only a few family members present owing to the coronavirus pandemic. Frank leaves a widow, Dorothy, three children, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

July 2022 Christopher John Farrow (WmB), passed away peacefully at University Hospital, London, Ontario, Canada, on 28 July 2021, aged 87. Beloved husband for 60 years of Hilary, Chris is survived by his daughter, Cathy and grandchildren, Alexander, Rachel and Jacob. He was predeceased by his son John Wyndham, who died in November 2018 aged 56. Chris was the Barcham Family Historian until 2013.
